Our Delaney candle is inspired by Beauford Delaney, the trailblazing African-American artist, was a beacon of light in the Parisian art scene. His move to Paris in the 1950s was more than just a geographical shift; it was a transformative journey that would see him melding the vibrant essence of two worlds – the rhythmic pulse of Harlem and the atmospheric charm of the Parisian streets.

Delaney's art was characterized by a mesmerizing interplay of color, texture, and emotion. His abstract expressions captured the raw, unbridled energy of life, pulsating with vibrant yellows that seemed to emit light.

This candle seeks to encapsulate the very soul of Delaney's artistry. Upon lighting, the first notes that dance in the air are of rich amber, reminiscent of the warm glow that emanated from Delaney's canvases. Following closely are hints of oakmoss and cedarwood, evoking the depth and layers of his abstract creations. And then, as the candle burns brighter, bursts of citrus from bitter orange and grapefruit come forth, echoing the lively streets of Paris that the artist so adored.

1. Only burn on level, heat resistant surfaces.
2. Keep lit candles away from drafts & other flammable materials.
3. Never leave a candle unattended; and always keep out of the reach of children and pets.
4. Lit candles are very hot so never touch the candle jar while the candle is lit.
5. Keep candle free of dust & foreign materials like matches & wick trimmings.
6. Our candles come pretrimmed for your first burn, light wick from one edge with a lighter or a match.
7. Burn for at least 2 hours on your first burn.
8. Do not burn continuously for more than 4 hours.
9. Trim your wick between each burn, by removing all the ash. This can be done by pinching the ash off, with wick trimmers or nail clippers.
10. If the height of the flame exceeds 1 1/2 inches or if candle starts to smoke blow out candle, let wax cool. then trim wick. be sure to remove all wick trimmings before relighting.
